Details:A South Korean company specializing in the design and manufacture of chemical equipment, electromechanical installation, pipeline and boiler installation, and pressure vessels recently commissioned our company to design a dedicated welding system to improve the welding quality and automation level of its stainless steel workpieces. The client's workpieces range in diameter from 500–4500 mm, wall thickness from 3–4 mm, and length not exceeding 6000 mm, constituting medium to large-sized thin-walled structures. Controlling welding deformation and ensuring weld formation stability were key challenges.

Our company developed an automated welding system based on arc welding technology. The core equipment includes an adjustable dedicated roller frame, a high-precision welding machine, a digital welding power source, and a circulating cooling system. An integrated control system enables coordinated control of welding parameters and motion mechanisms.

To meet the client's high standards for visualization and controllability of the welding process, our company specifically developed a welding monitoring system. This system can acquire real-time images of the molten pool, arc status, and process parameters, helping operators intuitively understand the welding process and achieve precise control over weld formation. The introduction of this system has freed welding operations from excessive reliance on human experience, reduced quality risks caused by operational fluctuations, and significantly improved production pace and manpower allocation efficiency.

After the equipment was put into operation, welding quality consistency improved markedly, and the first-pass yield rate increased significantly. While ensuring welding efficiency, it effectively controlled deformation of thin-walled workpieces, providing reliable technical support for customers undertaking high-requirement projects in the chemical and pressure vessel industries.
