Details:This company specializes in the research and development and manufacturing of anti-corrosion engineering and equipment such as Class A pressure vessels and rubber-lined anti-corrosion containers. Recently, a client commissioned us to design a professional welding solution for their stainless steel workpieces. These workpieces have a diameter range of 500-4000mm, a length not exceeding 8000mm, and a plate thickness of 3-10mm, representing a typical thin-walled medium-to-large container structure, requiring high levels of control over heat input and deformation during the welding process.

Based on the structural characteristics and process requirements of the workpieces, we developed a dedicated side beam welding machine for the client, employing plasma arc welding technology. This process ensures deep weld penetration while effectively controlling the heat-affected zone. The equipment mainly consists of the following modules: a BL8040 side beam welding station serves as the system's foundation platform, providing high-rigidity support; an adjustable-speed roller frame and a mechanical anti-deviation mechanism ensure smooth cylinder rotation and consistent weld position; a high-precision welding torch attitude adjustment system and a dedicated welding power supply, combined with an integrated control system, achieve precise matching of welding parameters and automated process control.

After the equipment was put into use, welding quality and efficiency were significantly improved—the weld formation was uniform and aesthetically pleasing, with no significant deformation, a high first-pass yield rate, and welding speed increased by approximately 30% compared to the original process. Customer feedback indicated that the equipment operates stably and is easy to use, effectively solving the technological challenges of circumferential welding of medium and large thin-walled workpieces, and providing reliable technical support and production capacity for them in the field of pressure vessel and corrosion protection equipment manufacturing.
