Details：The client, a professional semi-trailer manufacturer located in South Africa, planned to develop an elliptical aluminum fuel transport semi-trailer to expand its product line. They imported a joint-joint panel welding machine from our company for this purpose.
Given the client's workpiece length of 8000mm and its stainless steel material, we configured a PB series welding machine for them. The main structure of the equipment consists of the following modules:
Main frame and pressure beam system: Provides stable support and uniform pressure;
Guide rail and welding torch movement mechanism: Enables precise movement of the welding torch;
Piano key type pneumatic clamp for pressure plates: Flexibly adapts to different plate thicknesses and curvatures, ensuring tight joint fitting;
Welding mandrel and its adjustment mechanism: Allows for multi-dimensional position adjustment to accommodate the curved surface of the elliptical workpiece;
Pneumatic centering and welding torch lifting mechanism: Enables rapid workpiece centering and stable lifting of the welding torch;
Welding torch fine-tuning mechanism: Supports precise position correction during the welding process;
Pneumatic circuit control system: Integrates the control of each actuator.
The equipment's welding speed can be steplessly adjusted within the range of 100–800 mm/min, meeting the needs of high-speed continuous welding as well as being suitable for critical welds requiring precision forming. It effectively balances production efficiency and welding quality, providing customers with reliable process assurance for the mass production of elliptical fuel transport vehicles.
